ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking an analyst to help us solve some of the most interesting data-centric questions in the quickly evolving on-demand audio industry. Whether it’s a better understanding of our audiences, assessing new opportunities, or unpacking broader market trends, the ideal analyst will bring an open mind and a flair for creativity to the wide swath of their investigations. This role will report to the VP of Finance and Business Development and will be based in New York, NY.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Catalog and evaluate internal and external data sources

  • Build and maintain analytics dashboards to support editorial and business teams

  • Analyze podcast listenership to identify trends and opportunities for optimization

  • Investigate marketing performance to help drive growth

  • Support financial modeling and business projections

SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for a talented and ambitious person to help grow our data capabilities. The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1-2 years work experience

  • Strong analytics knowledge; SQL, Python, or other data access tools a plus

  • Familiarity with web, content and/or podcast analytics, and experience with key digital marketing tactics and metrics

  • Deep knowledge of data visualization; you love to make the complex easy to understand!

This is a part-time position. The time commitment is negotiable, though ideally around 15-20 hours a week. Compensation will be based on work time and experience level. This position will be located in our Manhattan office, though there is opportunity for tele-commuting in the right situation.

Associate Producer, Ads

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an associate producer whose primary focus will be on creating ads for our growing slate of podcasts. Our ads are as important to us as our content, and we are investing in talent to help us create smart, highly-produced spots to run across our network of shows. The associate producer will work with our team of producers and hosts and be a critical link between Pushkin and our external sales partners. This role will report to the Director of Operations and will be based in New York, NY.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Craft ad copy from brand talking points, often working closely with hosts

  • Book studios for recordings and engineer and direct sessions

  • Record, edit, and deliver advertising creative according to deadlines

  • Write and produce promotional spots for Pushkin shows to run across and outside of our network

  • Attend creative calls with sales team and clients

  • Liaise with external sales and ad ops teams regularly 

  • Be an extra set of ears on final episodes, giving notes to mix engineer

  • Upload and schedule final episodes for publishing, ensuring correct trafficking of ads

  • Other responsibilities, as needed

SKILLS + QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is creative and hungry to spearhead this part of Pushkin’s business. The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • 2-4 years of audio or media experience, advertising experience a plus

  • 1-2 years of experience editing in Pro Tools

  • Excellent writing skills

  • Understanding of the podcast landscape

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and work across geographically-dispersed teams 

This is a full-time staff position, based in Manhattan. Compensation will comprise a competitive base salary, full benefits (medical, dental, vision), and an annual performance bonus. Pushkin employees receive four weeks of paid vacation, including two weeks every August where the entire company closes so that everyone can truly relax and recharge.
